Connect and Create with The Spoonsmith

Allow me to introduce to you Jeff Donne, aka The Spoonsmith. Jeff practises and teaches the ancient art of wood carving, crafting all sorts of functional, beautiful wooden objects, by hand.

What a wonderful thing to create, from scratch, an essential object such as the humble spoon, that will be used countless times and remain in your kitchen for years to come. Not to mention the fact that creating the object in the first place requires you to slow down, be mindful and focus on the task at hand.

Nourish and Nest are excited to be hosting Jeff on Saturday 24th September 2016 for a one-day Spoon Carving Workshop. It will be a small affair (we have space for just 10 people) in a relaxed setting with a delicious lunch provided by our friends at Reay's Place.

Guests will learn the traditional skills needed to carve a spoon from a tree, skills that you will then have for life! The workshop includes your tools (a small axe and knives) and the spoon you create is yours to keep at the end of the day.

Our creative gatherings give you an opportunity to make space in your life to nourish your soul with a little creativity, to meet new people and enjoy a relaxing day.

If you are already picturing yourself using your own handmade spoon, book yourself a ticket in our online store.
